The award winning resource for walking guides for Northumberland, Cumbria and The Scottish Borders.
The walks that are available from Shepherds Walks, are quite unique, as they have written them all from a
Shepherds perspective.
Shepherds Walks also leads walks all over Northumberland, including some that start and finish from
Kirkharle Courtyard itself.

For the fourth consecutive year the Kirkharle Courtyard Christmas guided walk will be taking place.
This year the date is Sunday 20th December. What better way to start off the festive period with a guided
walk throughout the spectacular scenery that inspired Capability Brown.
One of the many treats on the walk last year was the Zwartbles Sheep. Elsa, a good friend who was originally
going to personally show the walkers her sheep. But she had prior engagement. So as not to ruin the treat
for the walkers she had kindly left some feed halfway through the walk, so that I could get the sheep in to feed.
Now you don’t get such treats on any guided walks, just on Shepherds Walks!
As it starts and finishes at Kirkharle Courtyard it will also give you an opportunity to pick up those last
minute presents and the opportunity to have a bit of lunch in the coffee shop once we return.
A great walk, good company and great walking weather (hopefully) will all be in store.
